Crimebusters

With the launch of the new Marvel role playing game my group has been debating about what characters we should play.  One classic convention in our games has always involved returning to characters we played when we were younger.  Our gang of friends really dates back to my brother's friends from high school.  He and I had an interest in pen and paper games dating back to the late 70's when my cousin introduced us to Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, but our more serious interest in the hobby probably crested while he was in the first few years of high school.  It was then we met the guys who would become the lifelong friends we shared over the next thirty years. To me it is always fun to develop new characters in any of these systems, but there is something about the nostalgia of developing older campaigns with a new twist.  The Crimebusters were born of their gaming sessions during the lunch break at school using the first Marvel RPG system.  It was d100 b...
Awesome! Can't wait to check out this game. DUNGEONBOWL

Been Awile

It's been while since I posted anything on here. Just really haven't been doing any RPG stuff at all. Other than digital stuff like Blood Bowl and Star Wars: The Old Republic, my gaming has been slim over the last year. I am hoping to put together something with my friends using the Marvel RPG by Tracy Weiss, but Amazon keeps delaying the release date. I did get to look at the .pdf and the rules seem awesome. It kinda sucks that since we've aged our group is a little scattered these days with work and family stuff. But to all the games we didn't play at least other things are getting done. : )

The Business At Hand

Kevvry Diablo contacted us rather frantically. He has been down in Enmilis slumming in the Thieves City. No problem with that in my opinion. The lad can definately take care of himself. But he encountered something down there which seems beyond his capabilities. So Ghul and I are tagging along with his father. All I am certian of at this point is there is a flock of undead ravens which is capable of stripping the flesh from bystanders. Personally it sounds like some sort of curse or spell cast by a powerful wizard, but Kevvry seems convinced it is actually a creature or swarm. Either way we will see soon enough. The Begger's Guild is in a war with the Thieves' Guild, so we will probably wind up ruffling more feathers than the undead birds.

Streek Hollis

You know the motto, "Some doors are better left closed." Before arriving in Enmilis this time I heard some rather disturbing news. I had ventured into the grand dungeon of Streek Hollis a while back. It is a sprawling labyrinth. The inhabitants change frequently, different groups migrating in and out, bold adventurers slaying the monsters, humanoids and denziens from below, a constant flux of peril really. At one time part of the world's largest dungeon was the lair of a powerful wizard who had a vast library devoted to ringlore. This fiend had gathered artifacts from the Plain of Towers including a stone tablet written in a magical tounge. For nearly a century the library was thought lost until I heard tales about a group who stood before a door they could not open. It was definately worth investigating. While in the dungeon I made some maps, but after arriving at the door was able to break the magics barring the portal. Inside most of the library was missing, but I did...
